The Chairman of the State Great Hural, Mr. Enkhbold Zandaakhuu received Mr. Wang Xiaolong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to Mongolia, on 25 February 2014 in his office.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman expressed his appreciation for the contributions of the Ambassador to the development of comprehensive cooperation between Mongolia and China. The Chairman noted that the decision to undertake events throughout 2014, the “Year of Friendly Relations”, which will be implemented in the scope of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations would be of great importance in strengthening mutual understanding among the people of two countries.
According to the “Year of Friendly Relations” event program, the relevant authorities have started their implementations. The Chairman further added that the tangible outcomes of Mongolia and China economic cooperation have expanded and new opportunities for major projects are opening. For instance, Mongolia is cooperating with China’s Sinopec Group on a coal gasification project which will be an important project in Mongolia’s economic development.
