On January 19, Mongolian parliamentarians held bilateral meetings with several counterparts and the first meeting was held with Fidel Espinoza Sandoval, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile. During the meeting, parties highlighted the importance of establishing a trade and economic partnership through activation and closer integration of parliaments. The State Great Hural established Mongolia-Latin America parliamentary group, but in the Chilean parliament there is no such joint group, thus President Fidel Espinoza has promised to establish a Chile-Mongolia parliamentary group soon.
Also, Speaker M.Enkhbold had separate meetings with Jinbok LEE, Standing Committee Vice Chairman, head of delegation from the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea; Lieutenant General Sengnouane SAYALAT, Vice-President of the National Assembly of Lao PDR; Zhu CHEN, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress; Olga Nikolaevna EPIFANOVA, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and Ernesto Cordero Arroyo, President of the Senate of Mexico.
Speaker of Mongolian Parliament was accompanied with parliamentarians B.Undarmaa, B.Purevdorj, B.Baatarbileg, A.Sukhbat, Ch.Ulaan and other officials, and during the 26 APPF, Mongolian MPs participated in two Sessions. Session I discussed Political and Security matters. Promoting parliamentary diplomacy for peace, security and prosperity in the region and the world and, Combating international terrorism and trans-border crime. The Session II run under Economic and Trade matters. Discussing 2017 Report of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC); The role of Parliaments to promoting Seamless Regional Economic Integration; Food security and agricultural sustainable development; Supporting the MSMEs in the digital age.
