Mr. A.Bakei, MP, Chair of the Standing Committee on State Structures held a meeting with Mr. Diepak Elmer, Deputy Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Mongolia on 19 May 2014.

          Expressing gratitude for taking time to meet him, Mr. Diepak Elmer highlighted that this week coincides with the 50th anniversary of theestablishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Switzerland and the 10th anniversary of Swiss development cooperation in Mongolia. Two sides exchanged views about the ongoing projects jointly implemented by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and UNDP.

     Mr. A.Bakei noted that the projects including “Capacity strengthening of local self-governing bodies” and “Support to participatory legislative process” are being implemented effectively. Mr. Diepak Elmer asked the Chairman to attach greater importance to the projects and programmes implemented in Bayan-Ulgii province.
