On November 07, 2017, State Honored Artist of Mongolia, an awardee of the Order of Chinggis Khaan, opera singer, baritone G.Ariunbaatar paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) M.Enkhbold to confer his the Song Prize award won at the 2017 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.

In an audience with the Speaker, opera singer G.Ariunbaatar noted, “I have won three awards out of four from the ‘2017 ВВС Cardiff singer of the world’, which is the greatest aspirations for world-class singers and taking this opportunity I would like to present one of these prizes to H.E. Mr.M.Enkhbold. I have a reason to do so because Mr.Enkhbold has been continuously supporting me since 2011, when I was a graduate student. In 2011, I won the 24th Glinka International Vocal Contest in Moscow with a prize as best baritone in the competition that was a brilliant beginning of my career to world-class singer. You are the authority who understands and respects Mongolian opera art and as a result many Mongolian talented singers are known worldwide today”.

Chairman M.Enkhbold expressed his gratitude to preserve such an honorable prize and wished him further improvements and achievements in his career as well as to keep promoting Mongolia and its people. He also said singer G.Ariunbaatar is an example for a new generation in opera art and asked him to generate many best singers.
