Celebrating the 26th anniversary of the Constitution Day, the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia in collaboration with Mongolian Chess Federation have successfully organized the final sets of 2018 State Amateur Chess Tournament in the State Palace on January 06-07, 2018.
The 2018 State Amateur Chess Tournament is the sixth contest that began in November 2017. In the final 8 rounds, 124 competitors have played under swiss-system rules, of which 91 men and 33 women players for the championship titles.
In the men’s category, G.Amarsanaa from Khentii aimag collecting the maximum eligible points become the winner of 2018 State Amateur Chess Tournament, where G.Bat-Erdene and N.Galtsog took the second and third positions.
The women’s category was led by E.Odgerel followed by D.Tseesuren and E.Munkh-Amgalan As customary, organizers nominated Mr. M.Jargalsaikhan, 63, as the leading senior player.
