The 136th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union is ongoingin Dhaka, Bangladesh on its second day, where over 1500 representatives from130 countries are taking part in this prestigious event, of which 53 Chairmenof the Parliaments, 40 Vice-Chairmen and 209 women parliamentarians.

Mongolian parliamentarians headed by Chairman of the StateGreat Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr. Miyegombo ENKHBOLD are participatingin several meetings, where MP D.Lundeejantsan representing Mongolian parliamentattended the Committee meeting on the Human Rights of Parliamentarians, MPN.Amarzaya attended the Forum of Women Parliamentarians, MP N.Nomtoibayar theForum of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU, and MP O.Baasankhuu in the Debate onthe Emergency Item respectively.

During his participation in the inaugural session on theGeneral Debate themed “Redressing inequalities: Delivering on dignity andwell-being for all”, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of MongoliaMr. Miyegombo ENKHBOLD delivered a keynote speech.

The 136th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union andrelated meetings are being held at the Bangabandhu International ConferenceCenter (BICC) in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from Saturday, 1 April to Wednesday, 5April 2017.
