Deputy Chairwoman of the State Great Hural meets with EBRD Mongolia Resident Representative

in Ulaanbaatar this June, under the patronage of the President of Mongolia. The forum will bring together policymakers, experts, researchers, and practitioners from Asian and Altai regional countries to foster cooperation on sustainability challenges.


An organizing task force has been established for the event, with Deputy Chairwoman of the State Great Hural Kh. Bulgantuya, who also chairs the Parliamentary Conservation Caucus, serving as deputy head of the task force.

As part of the forum’s preparations, she met today (January 29, 2025) with Hannes Takacs, Resident Representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Mongolia to discuss potential cooperation.


During the meeting, Deputy Chairwoman Kh. Bulgantuya emphasized the significance of the upcoming "Climate Change: Billion Trees" Sustainability Forum, highlighting Mongolia’s commitment to the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. She also noted that Mongolia successfully hosted the Altai Transboundary Sustainability Dialogue in 2023 and 2024 in partnership with Stanford University and the Ban Ki-moon Foundation.

The discussion focused on opportunities for EBRD to contribute to the forum, particularly in areas such as green finance, climate resilience, and sustainable economic development.
