Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) D. Amarbayasgalan received A.N. Evsikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia, today (January 15, 2025).
Chairman D. Amarbayasgalan emphasized that developing comprehensive cooperation with Russia, a traditional and friendly neighbor, is a priority in Mongolia’s foreign policy. He affirmed the State Great Hural’s commitment to strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and expanding collaboration between the two countries.
Ambassador A.N. Evsikov extended congratulations to the Chairman on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Mongolia’s democratic Constitution. He expressed gratitude for the Parliament’s focus on implementing agreements made during the Russian President’s visit to Mongolia, including discussions held at the presidential level and intergovernmental agreements.
The Ambassador also highlighted the notable presence of young and female members in the newly expanded 126-member Parliament, which he viewed as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the youth and women of the two nations.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the State Great Hural of Mongolia and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, as well as between parliamentary groups.
