Discussion on the Implementation of the Law on Youth Development Held

The working group established by Resolution No. 81 of the Chairman of the State Great Hural in 2024, tasked with reviewing the implementation of the Law on Youth Development, providing recommendations, and drafting necessary legislation, organized a discussion today on the topic "Implementation of the Law on Youth Development".  


The discussion was attended by MPs M. Gankhuleg, Ch. Undram, N. Batsumberel, E. Bolormaa, G. Luvsanjamts, and S. Tsenguun, along with senior officials from relevant government ministries and agencies, representatives of international organizations, and other participants totaling over 30 people.  


The event was opened by M. Gankhuleg, the head of the working group and Member of Parliament. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the legal framework to support the implementation of the Law on Youth Development. He also stressed the need for cross-sector collaboration, participation, and support to improve the effectiveness of the law.  



During the discussion, MP G. Luvsanjamts spoke about Japan’s youth support policies, while UNFPA Deputy Resident Representative L. Oyunaa presented an analysis of the current situation of Mongolian youth. E. Dashzegve, Head of the Social Research Division at the Parliamentary Research and Development Institute, shared insights on youth development and protection laws in various countries. Presentations were also made by G. Batdorj, Head of the Youth Policy Implementation Coordination Division, and J. Tana, Director of the Secretariat of the Vision-2050 National Committee, who discussed Mongolia's youth development strategy.  


The session addressed the challenges facing youth, the current state of youth-related issues, and future priorities. Government representatives, international organizations, and researchers shared their views, and the working group discussed potential avenues for collaboration to ensure the effective implementation of the law.
