On December 4, 2024, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) D. Amarbayasgalan met with United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mongolia, Tapan Mishra. During the meeting, the Chairman congratulated Mr. Mishra on being awarded the “Friendship” medal in recognition of his significant contributions to enhancing Mongolia’s social and economic development, sustainable growth, environmental protection, humanitarian efforts, and peacebuilding initiatives.
The Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia has been instrumental in aligning its activities with the national implementation of the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.” By coordinating and implementing joint projects and programs, it supports the Mongolian Government’s priorities and aligns with the objectives of the UN system’s organizations. The office also emphasizes strategic planning, partnerships, development financing, data management, results monitoring, reporting, and effective communication in its operations.
