Nationwide Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic and Adoption of the First Constitution on November 26

The State Great Hural (Parliament) passed Resolution No. 64 in 2023, declaring the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic and the adoption of the First Constitution. According to this resolution, the anniversary will be commemorated nationwide on November 26, 2024.


Activities outlined in the resolution include conducting scientific studies on the historical significance of the First Constitution, organizing academic conferences, creating and disseminating historical and educational materials, promoting the values of constitutional governance to citizens, and holding state ceremonial events.

In this context, the State Great Hural will convene a ceremonial session dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic and the adoption of the First Constitution. Additionally, it will host a conference titled “Effective Implementation of Parliamentary Oversight.”

Furthermore, lessons on “The Essence, Content, and Significance of the First Constitution” will be offered to university students and senior high school students. An academic conference under the theme “Constitutional Governance: Past, Present, and Future,” as well as exhibitions, traditional wrestling tournaments, and other state ceremonial events, will also be organized to mark this historic occasion.

These initiatives aim to highlight the legacy of Mongolia’s First Constitution and strengthen public appreciation for the values enshrined in constitutional governance.
