The State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, during its plenary session of November 15, 2024, has adopted the parliamentary resolution "The 2024-2028 Strategic Plan of the State Great Hural." The session commenced at 10:03 AM with 54.8 percent of MPs present.
The Strategic Plan, which underwent thorough deliberation during the November 14 plenary session, received majority support from the attending 104 MPs following comprehensive discussions and considerations of the Standing Committee's proposals and conclusions.
The adopted Strategic Plan establishes the vision of the State Great Hural to develop a humane, civil, and democratic society in Mongolia, with emphasis on human-centered policies and the governing rights of the Mongolian people. The plan delineates five strategic goals:
- Enhancement of human-centered ideology upholding human rights and freedoms
- Implementation of comprehensive decision-making prioritizing fundamental national interests and sustainable development
- Support for scientific advancement, innovation, and technological progress
- Strengthening of a progressive, new-generation parliament with pluralism
- Enhancement of parliamentary operational effectiveness
The Strategic Plan for 2024-2028 reinforces the State Great Hural's commitment to its core values of ensuring human rights and freedoms, promoting pluralism and representation, maintaining transparency and accessibility, and upholding ethical, responsible, and accountable governance.
This strategic framework will serve as the foundational document guiding the activities and development of the State Great Hural through 2028.
