MP J. Zoljargal, Head of the Mongolia-Poland Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural (Parliament), met with H.E. Krzysztof Bojko, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, MP J. Zoljargal emphasized that developing effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in all sectors with Poland—a “third neighbor” sharing common values of democracy, human rights, and freedom—is one of the important objectives of Mongolia’s foreign policy. He noted that parliamentary cooperation plays a significant role in the bilateral relations between the two countries. In this context, parliamentary friendship groups have been established, and he expressed confidence that by sharing experiences and exchanging views, cooperation will be further expanded. He also expressed pleasure that the Embassy of the Republic of Poland officially opened in Ulaanbaatar in 2023 and is actively operating. The embassy’s activities are significant in strengthening people-to-people relations. He expressed interest in cooperating with Poland in areas such as ensuring cyber security, enhancing transparency in judicial enforcement, and learning from modern methods and experiences.
Ambassador Krzysztof Bojko noted that relations between the two countries are expanding and developing in the fields of culture, arts, economy, and politics. He expressed appreciation that trade turnover has reached USD 100 million in recent years. He mentioned that preparations are underway to organize the 14th Polish Film Days and the 4th International Piano Competition in Ulaanbaatar in cooperation with relevant organizations, which reflects the expanding cooperation in culture and arts between the two countries. He highlighted that the State Visit of President Andrzej Duda of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia last year was a significant milestone in the history of bilateral relations and gave an important impetus to developing and strengthening cooperation. A Poland-Mongolia Parliamentary Group has been established in the Polish Sejm. Next year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He emphasized the important role and participation of the parliamentary groups in celebrating this anniversary ceremoniously. He also expressed confidence that members of the parliamentary groups will work actively to further expand cooperation between the two countries.
