The meeting commenced with a presentation by D. Khurelmaa, UNICEF’s Senior Specialist in Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation. She shared the results of the 2023 Social Indicator Sample Survey, explaining that questions for men were collected from all males aged 15-49 living in every second household. Additionally, one child aged 5-17 was randomly selected from each participating household. The survey assessed indicators such as reproductive and maternal health, child health, nutrition and development, education, protection from violence and exploitation, the right to live in a healthy and safe environment, and equal opportunities in life.
Following this, UNICEF consultant D. Narangerel delivered a presentation on “Human Papillomavirus Infection and Immunization.” She discussed the transmission and prevention methods of human papillomavirus (HPV), objectives of immunization, and findings from vaccine efficacy studies. She appealed to the MPs to collaborate in efforts to prevent HPV.
After the presentations, the MPs engaged in a question-and-answer session with the UNICEF specialists and exchanged views on avenues for future cooperation.
