On October 29, 2024, H.E. Mr. D. Amarbayasgalan, Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, met with H.E. Mr. K. Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is on an official visit to Mongolia.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Amarbayasgalan expressed his pleasure at receiving President Tokayev, marking the first state visit by a Kazakhstani leader to Mongolia in 16 years.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries in strengthening the relationship between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, stating that the State Great Hural will support efforts to elevate their partnership to the level of a Strategic Partnership and deepen mutually beneficial collaboration.

President Tokayev highlighted that the traditional friendly relations between the two countries have steadily developed over the past 30 years and are now advancing to a deeper level of “Strategic Partnership.” He expressed his commitment to expanding parliamentary cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan and further strengthening the friendship and camaraderie among their peoples.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to developing the “Strategic Partnership” and enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation. They noted the importance of strengthening the legal foundations of their relations and expanding exchanges and collaboration between friendship groups and their respective secretariats.
