The Hon. Susan Lines, President of the Australian Senate, along with her delegation, attended today’s session of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia.

Chairman of the State Great Hural, H.E. Mr. Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan, extended greetings on behalf of all members of the State Great Hural. He emphasized that this visit by the President of the Australian Senate is highly significant within Mongolia’s “Third Neighbor” policy framework, as it strengthens friendly relations, supports ongoing political dialogue, and enhances cooperation between the two countries’ legislative bodies.

Chairman Amarbayasgalan expressed confidence that bilateral relations and cooperation will soon reach the level of a Comprehensive Partnership, expanding across all sectors and deepening people-to-people connections. He extended his best wishes for health, prosperity, and success to President Lines and the visiting members of the Australian Parliament.

Invited by Chairman Dashzegviin Amarbayasgalan, The Hon. Susan Lines is conducting an official visit to Mongolia from October 16 to 19, 2024. This is the first visit of its kind at the level of President of the Australian Senate, marking a historic moment in Australian-Mongolian relations and playing a vital role in strengthening political dialogue and mutual trust.
