The official visit of The Hon. Susan Lines, President of the Australian Senate, to Mongolia has successfully concluded.
During her visit, President Lines paid a courtesy call on H.E. President U. Khurelsukh, held bilateral meetings with Chairman of the State Great Hural D. Amarbayasgalan and members of the Mongolia-Australia Parliamentary Group. She also engaged in discussions with members of Mongolia’s National Human Rights Commission, representatives from NGOs working in human rights, and women entrepreneurs.
Additionally, President Lines reviewed various projects in Mongolia funded by the Australian Government. These included a visit to households participating in the “Women’s Climate Resilience Capacity Building” program and an overview of the National Library of Mongolia’s operations.
This visit has played a significant role in strengthening Mongolian-Australian relations, enhancing political trust and mutual understanding, and advancing shared goals toward a Comprehensive Partnership.
President Lines was seen off at Chinggis Khaan International Airport by MP M. Enkhsetseg, Chair of the Mongolia-Australia Parliamentary Group, MP O. Batnairamdal, Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Group, Mongolia’s Ambassador to Australia, D. Davaasuren, Australia’s Ambassador to Mongolia, H.E. Katie Smith, and other officials.
