The Mongolian Government has submitted a proposed amendment to the Nuclear Energy Law, along with associated legislation, to the State Great Hural. The proposal, initiated by the Government, was presented today by N. Uchral, Minister and Chief Cabinet Secretary, and Ts. Tuvaan, Minister of Industry and Minerals, to Chairman of the State Great Hural D. Amarbayasgalan.

Minister of Industry and Minerals Ts. Tuvaan stated, “The Government’s 2024–2028 Action Program outlines the implementation of 14 mega-projects. Within this framework, amendments to the Nuclear Energy Law are being proposed to facilitate the Investment Agreement with Orano Mining, a company based in the French Republic.”
