On October 28, 2024, MP M. Gankhuleg met with Dr. Khalid Sharif, the Head of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Mongolia, to discuss policies, initiatives, and cooperation aimed at supporting youth development. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Khalid Sharif highlighted that the targeted activities of UNFPA have focused on promoting the health, education, employment, and social and political participation of young people.

He also mentioned the technical and methodological support provided by UNFPA during the drafting of the Youth Development Support Law, which was adopted in 2017, and shared details about the projects and programs implemented in this regard. MP M. Gankhuleg, who chairs the working group responsible for reviewing the implementation of the Youth Development Support Law, expressed his commitment to collaborating on effectively realizing policy support.

He noted that the working group includes representatives from multiple parties in Parliament and emphasized the need for the law to clearly and comprehensively address certain provisions that may have been overly general or overlooked. For instance, he discussed plans to expand the reach of youth housing programs in local areas and to support new young entrepreneurs under flexible conditions. The participants agreed to organize further extended meetings and a series of discussions, as well as to openly exchange research and information at all levels to accurately identify the challenges and obstacles faced by the younger generation.
