Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia – Chairman D.Amarbayasgalan opened the Autumn 2024 session of the State Great Hural, emphasizing the need for a human-centered legislative approach to address key national issues. He highlighted the recent establishment of a new Parliament formed through significant political reforms, reaffirming the State's commitment to serve the people.
During his address, Amarbayasgalan outlined the session’s priorities, including:
Economic Stability: Improving the legal environment for investment to attract foreign capital.
Diverse Economy: Reducing dependency on a single sector and supporting domestic entrepreneurs.
Legal Reforms: Implementing laws to decrease state involvement in the economy.
He noted the positive international recognition of Mongolia's credit rating upgrade to "B+" by Fitch Ratings, attributing it to the country's stronger economic growth compared to regional peers.
The Chairman emphasized that the upcoming Budget Law for 2025 and related legislation will set the direction for national development over the next four years. He urged Members of Parliament to ensure laws are equitable, clear, and supportive of citizens’ rights.
As the session coincides with the International Day of Older Persons, Amarbayasgalan expressed gratitude to the nation’s elders for their contributions to Mongolia’s independence and development.
He concluded by declaring the official opening of the Autumn 2024 session, calling for active and responsible participation from all Members of Parliament in addressing pressing societal issues.
