G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural, received today (25.04.2024), the delegation of National Assembly of Hungary led by the Deputy Speaker Lezsak Sandor who accompanied by other officials including Arpad Potapi, the Deputy Chairman of the Hungary-Mongolia Parliamentary Friendship Group, from the National Assembly.
At the beginning of the meeting, G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural, expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests for participating in the “Trans-Altai Sustainability Dialogue” international conference and making a working visit to our country and welcomed them to Mongolia.
The Chairman mentioned Hungary is an important partner for Mongolia in Eastern Europe and emphasized that relations and cooperation have been continuously active even in times of difficulties and expressed his satisfaction in the maintaining of the frequency of high-level mutual visits between the two countries. He happily recalls his official visit to Hungary last March as the Chairman of the of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, during in which many important issues discussed, cooperation documents signed and have reached mutual understanding. The visit was an important event as taken a place after 17 years which the head of legislative body visits and expressed State Great Hural’s support to proposals and initiatives aimed at expanding the relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, Lezsak Sandor expressed his gratitude to G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural, for the invitation to participate in the second conference of the “Trans-Altai Stability Dialogue” which has provided this opportunity to visit Mongolia for the first time.
He conveyed the greetings of Laszlo Kover, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary, to H.E. G.Zandanshatar and congratulated him on his important initiative to increase the participation of multilateral cooperation in strengthening democracy for the successful implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
He further emphasized that, at a time when the world is in a difficult geopolitical situation, the strengthening cooperation at the international and regional levels and overcoming any difficulties through cooperation is important.
The parties unanimously highlighted that the relationship between the parliament and the parliamentary group will play an important role in the intensifying and developing the cooperation between the two countries.
Mongolia and the Republic of Hungary have established diplomatic relations on April 28, 1950 and have friendly relations and cooperation.
