Today (05/08/2023) G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural of Mongolia, received the Mr. Alexey Nikolaevich Evsikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman G.Zandanshatar said that it was a pleasure to meet the Honorable Aleksei Nikolaevich, and congratulated him on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia. He said that Ambassador Mr.A.N.Yevsikov is an experienced diplomat who has worked in the diplomatic service for many years and would be happy to cooperate in the further development of relations between Mongolia and Russia.
Ambassador A.N.Yevsikov expressed his gratitude to the Chairman of the State Great Hural for taking the time to meet with him. Mongolia is not only a close neighbor of Russia, but also a strategic partner of our country. The highest legislative body of Mongolia, the parliament, has undergone a lot of development and reform in recent years. In particular, I think that the reform of the laws and regulations of the electoral system is of great importance in strengthening the governance of the people. Therefore, he said, he is interested in further strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation.
G.Zandanshatar, the Chairman of the State Great Hural, said an important component of good neighborly and friendly relations between Mongolia and Russia is the cooperation between the legislative bodies. Cooperation between the legislative bodies of our two countries has been active in recent years. Over the past two years, Russia has made several high-level parliamentary visits to Mongolia. For example, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council K.I.Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sh.V.Kara-Ool and A.V.Gordeev made effective visits to Mongolia. He said that there is no doubt that the cooperation between the legislative bodies of our two countries will be an important mechanism for the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
The parties mentioned that our two countries have had good neighborly and friendly relations since ancient times and exchanged views on trade, economy, tourism, culture, education, science and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
