МонголThe Chairman of the Great Hural of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia Kim Jong-gu today (03/09/2023).
While extending, at the beginning of the meeting, his congratulations to Mr. Kim Jung Gu for his appointment as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Mongolia, the Chairman of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar requested the Ambassador to pay attention and support the further development of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries in an economic context. Furthermore, the Chairman emphasized that the cooperation between the legislative bodies has played an important role in strengthening the legal framework of the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries and consolidating parliamentary democracy.
Ambassador Kim Jong-gu pointed out that Mongolia, which has extensive historical and cultural ties and is bound by the shared values of respect for democracy and human rights, is an important partner for the Republic of Korea in the Northeast Asian region, and expressed that he would pay attention to the issues raised by the Chairman of the State Great Hural.
During the meeting, the Chairman G.Zandanshatar has informed Ambassador that the State Great Hural, in cooperation with the Ban Ki-moon Foundation for a Better Future, Stenford University of the United States of America and Ewha Woman’s University of the Republic of Korea, is planning to organize the "Trans Altai Northeast Sustainable Dialogue" international forum between 13-14 June, 2023 in Ulaanbaatar. Moreover, the Chairman has expressed his confidence that the Ambassador would pay attention to cooperation with Korean side in establishing a parliamentary association of countries belonging to the Ural-Altaic language group.
Ambassador Kim Jong-gu thanked Mongolian side for its active enrollment in ensuring the security and stability in the Northeast Asian region, and said that he will focus on the issue of smooth travel of the citizens between the two countries and activating relations through art and cultural events in the future.
