The regular autumn session of the State Great Hural 2021 commenced today on October 1, 2021, at 10:00 am with an attendance of 74.3 percent of parliamentarians. The opening ceremony was virtually attended by the heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Mongolia and heads of Government agencies appointed by the State Great Hural.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar highlighted that the 2021 autumn session will focus on Mongolia's economic recovery policy. Besides, measures against corruption will be elevated and implement the goal of eliminating state bureaucracy. Moreover, this session will discuss a package of bills to implement the concept of education reform.

According to the Law on the State Great Hural of Mongolia, article 18.1, the regular autumn session of the State Great Hural shall convene on October 1st and the regular spring session on March 15th, each session to last for at least 75 working days.

During the 2021 autumn session, 72 draft laws are planned to discuss. For instance, the Budget Law of Mongolia for 2022, the draft resolution of the State Great Hural on approving the State Monetary Policy Guidelines for 2022. Moreover, renewed laws on Permits, on Supervision of the State Great Hural, on Alcohol Control and Combating Alcoholism, on Social Insurance, package law on Environment, amendments to the Law on Petroleum are scheduled to be discussed.
