Mr. G.Zandanshatar, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, participated in talks with Mr. K.I.Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation during the 5th World Conference of Parliament Speakers in Vienna, Ausrtia.

During the meeting, the two sides remarked they were pleased with the further development and expansion of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Russia at the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The parties noted the significance of the historical anniversary and deems it equally important to hold high-level reciprocal visits, establish a new mechanism of cooperation between the two parliaments and to hold the first meeting for the inter-parliamentary cooperation mechanism in the near future. Furthermore, the Chairman of the State Great Hural expressed confidence that the visit of Ms. V.I.Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, to Mongolia will take place in the near future. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, other issues of cooperation and international and regional security.
