Mr. G.Zandanshatar, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, met with Mr. Om Birla, Speaker of the Lok Sabha (Parliament) of the Republic of India in Vienna to exchange views on bilateral relations and cooperation.

The Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia referred to the Republic of India as a strategic partner and spiritual neighbor of Mongolia, emphasizing the importance of intensive inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries in expanding friendly relations in all fields of areas, including the economic, education, culture and industry sectors.

Mr. G.Zandanshatar further noted that the parties are actively cooperating in the successful implementation of the “Oil Refinery Project” and asked to support the project and the implementation of coking coal export and its pilot transportation in the near future.

Mr. Om Birla expressed his support for the effective and efficient implementation of the joint projects and programs, and invited Mr. G. Zandanshatar to visit India at a convenient time.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on regional security, the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues of multilateral cooperation.
