In connection with the adoption of the revised Law on Cooperatives, MPs S.Chinzorig and G.Temuulen, Director of the SME Ya.Erdenesaikhan, and Vice President of the Mongolian National Association of Agricultural Cooperatives D.Batmunkh called a press conference regarding amendments and important changes made in the law.

May 10, 2021. The Parliamentary Research Institute at the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia in collaboration with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation organized a virtual meeting on “Parliamentary Oversight”.

May 11, 2021. At the Social Policy Standing Committee meeting it was agreed to discuss the draft law on amending the law on Social Insurance. If the amendments will be approved through the parliament, the social insurance premiums would be reduced by 2 percent.

May 11, 2021. At the Standing Committee meeting on Budget, it was agreed to ratify the 2022 Fiscal Framework Statement of the Budget of Mongolia and draft law on budget projections for 2023-2024 as stipulated in the first hearing.

May 12, 2021. Chairman of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar received the Asia Foundation’s Country Representative in Ulaanbaatar Mark Koenig. The Chairman expressed his interest in continuing the cooperation with The Asia Foundation.

The Standing Committee on Education, Culture, Science and Sports of the State Great Hural established a working group to review the implementation of the Law on Physical Culture and Sports. May 12, 2021. Mrs. B.Saranchimeg MP, representing the State Great Hural, has attended the 31st session of the IPU Women Parliamentarians’ Forum which was organized within the framework of the accompanying sessions of the 142nd Assembly of the IPU that is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

May 13, 2021. At the Standing Committee meeting on Legal Affairs, it was agreed to discuss the draft law on Regulating Monetary Activities and the accompanying draft laws.

May 13, 2021. At the first sitting of the IPU Young Parliamentarians Forum Mrs. B.Jargalmaa, a member of the State Great Hural has represented the Mongolian Parliament.

May 13, 2021. MP B.Saranchimeg, Chair of the Mongolia-India Parliamentary Group in the State Great Hural visited the Embassy of the Republic of India to Mongolia. During the meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary HE Mr. Singh, MP B.Saranchimeg handed over the donations from the people of Mongolia to the people of India.

At the morning plenary session of the State Great Hural, the draft law on amendments to the Law on Crime and Violence Prevention was agreed to discuss and transfered to afiliating Standing Committee for first hearing. Also, the draft law on Regulating Monetary Activities was agreed to discuss.

May 14, 2021. At the afternoon plenary session of the State Great Hural, query answer was heard regarding the Parliament Resolution No.92/2019 on “Ensuring the Interests of Mongolia in the Development of the Oyu Tolgoi deposit”.

May 13, 2021. MP and Chair of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Innovation and Digital Policy, Mr. N.Uchral, participated in the online meeting of the Bureau for the IPU Standing Committee on UN Affairs.

May 15, 2021. The Chairman of the State Great Hural G.Zandanshatar and members of the State Great Hural elected from 9 districts of the capital city held a consultative meeting with the capital city authorities. At the beginning of the meeting, they got acquainted with the Law on the Legal Status of the Capital City and the construction works, projects and programs to be implemented in Ulaanbaatar in 2021-2024.
