Мr.T.Ayursaikhan: Intensifying Parliamentary Group activities is the basis for all sectors development

Mr.T.Ayursaikhan, the Vice-Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, received H.E. Mr.Krzysztof Bojko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia on May 21st, 2021.

At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Chairman Мr. T.Ayursaikhan thanked the Senate and Sejm Marshal of the Republic of Poland and Ambassador Krzysztof Bojko for their greetings on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of a permanent parliament in Mongolia.

The Vice-Chairman also added that “Approximately 900 Mongolians live and work in Poland, of which about 600 are officially employed. In particular, Mongolian traditional medicine doctors have been working successfully in the country for many years. There is Social Protection agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Poland. It is important that the agreement facilitates mutual transfer of pensions of all citizens who have paid social insurance contributions in both Mongolia and Poland, as well as social welfare payment for temporary disability, pregnancy, childbirth, unemployment, industrial accidents and occupational diseases”.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector, and noted that there are opportunities for further economic cooperation development and opening of new opportunities for trade and business between both citizens and businesses through the introduction of advanced Polish technology and experience in Mongolia’s agricultural sector. Views have been exchanged on supporting cooperation between private entities operating in the field of veterinary, animal sanitary and the pharmaceutical supply.

"One of the major goals for Mongolia in the coming years is to become a producer economy. In this context, Mongolia has a lot to learn from the Polish experiences in the areas of not only intensifying food production and fully supplying domestic demand, but also in the area of exporting organic products. It is important to strengthen trade turnover, enhance policy support and activate cooperation between the legislative bodies through members of the parliamentary friendship groups. This will be the basis for intensifying relations in all sectors" said Vice-Chairman T.Ayursaikhan. 

While mentioned about the activities being implemented to expand the friendly relations between the two countries in all areas, Ambassador H.E.Mr.Krzysztof Bojko stated that last year marked the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and due to the pandemic, the planned commemorations were postponed. Poland reopened its embassy in Ulaanbaatar as an outcome of the visit by Mrs.Malgorzata Gosiewska, Deputy Marshal of Sejm of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia. An international academic conference, moreover, is to be held in Mongolia for the occasion of 70th anniversary of bilateral cooperation. The Ambassador expressed his eagerness to organize this conference under the auspices of the two deputy speakers of the parliaments. He also informed that the embassy is working with Mongolian Conservatory to co-organize the Chopin International Piano Competition-III.

During this meeting with the Ambassador, the Vice Chairman T.Ayursaikhan, expressed his support for all initiatives aimed at developing bilateral relations and cooperation and wished the Ambassador good success.
