On January 21-23, 2018, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr. Miyegombo ENKHBOLD is conducting an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam upon an invitation of Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Viet Nam.
The Chairman’s official visit to Hanoi is being paid following the attendance in the 26th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum and the first formal measure commenced with official talks with Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân. The Speakers of two legislative organs inked the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the State Great Hural and the National Assembly of Viet Nam.
The two sides underlined the ever-expanding level of traditional friendly relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, and the successful implementation of tasks issued from notes of Cooperation as well as from Intergovernmental Commission's meeting to boost collaboration and relations.
During the talks, parties agreed to allow Vietnamese officers to participate in the “Khaan Quest” multinational peacekeeping exercise being hosted annually in Tuv province of Mongolia. Also, the sides pledged to effectively implement agreements signed in the fields of security and defense; increase number of dialogues and experience sharing at all levels. Moreover, preparation of working visit of Mongolia’s Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs to Viet Nam.
After the talks, they witnessed the signing of and Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between Tuv province of Mongolia and Hoa Binh province of Viet Nam in the frames of celebration the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between two nations to mark in 2019.
In the frames of
his official visit, Chairman M.Enkhbold paid a courtesy call on Trần Đại Quang,
President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam as well as
held bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and Minister
of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong respectively.
