Chairman G.Zandanshatar received Mr.Jan Vytopil, newly appointed Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Mongolia

On May 10, 2022, H.E. Mr. G.Zandanshatar, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, received H.E. Mr. Jan Vytopil, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Mongolia.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Jan Vytopil expressed gratitude to the Chairman for taking the time to meet with him.

Mr. G.Zandanshatar congratulated the Ambassador on his new appointment to Mongolia. The Chairman further recognized that the Czech Republic, as Mongolia's third neighbor, is united by its values ​​of democracy, human rights, freedom and a free market economy and observed that the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries are expanding in all fields.


The Chairman stated that at a time when we are seeing a decline in the number of COVID-19 related cases and when pandemic restrictive measures are being lifted, there is an opportunity to intensify the economic cooperation between the two countries. He noted that although the two countries share a rich history of trade and cooperation, trade turnover reached only 13 million US dollars and expressed confidence that Mongolia and the Czech Republic will seek ways of bolstering economic cooperation and commercial ties. 

Ambassador Jan Vytopil agreed with the Chairman and said he would work to expand bilateral trade and humanitarian relations and further noted of his particular interest to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation.
